ISLA HOLBOX
My first overseas campaign trip with LSPACE took me to the stunning Isla Holbox in Cancun, Mexico. Alongside work bestie Megan, two incredible models, our talented photographer Sean, and his assistant Charlie, we set out to capture the essence of the Le Paradiso collection. With its vibrant, juicy colors, the collection perfectly embodied the bold, sun-soaked energy of Mexico. The tropical backdrop and its’ crystal-clear waters was the ideal setting to showcase the lively spirit of the pieces. It was a dream collaboration that captured the essence of both the collection and the destination.

We stayed at the charming Villas HM Paraiso del Mar, a beautiful hotel just a short walk from the pristine white-sand beach. After a long journey—a five-hour flight, two-hour drive across Cancun, a 45-minute boat ride, and a final 10-minute golf cart ride—we finally arrived and spent the evening location scouting and prepping the samples for our first shoot day. The next morning, we kicked off the shoot on the beach, setting up a home base with rented beach chairs for the models to lay on. We shot all around the hotel, beach, and ocean, focusing mostly on swimwear. Using props like sunscreen, fresh coconuts, aqua pannas, and vintage cameras added the perfect touches to the vibrant, tropical vibe of the collection.
The second day was all about cruising around the island and capturing the peices local town. We rented two golf carts from the hotel and made our way through the colorful streets, stopping whenever we spotted a cute spot to shoot. We focused mostly on ready-to-wear and resort pieces, and the town’s vibrant streets made for the perfect backdrop. We wrapped up the day at a beachside hotel, where the girls slipped into crochet pieces and enjoyed tropical cocktails as the sun set.
For the third and final day of shooting, we kept it easy and shot around the hotel, taking full advantage of the perfect weather—blue skies, no clouds. We had fun with the unique shell showers and the bright turquoise waters, getting some great shots in the process. By lunchtime, we’d wrapped everything up, so we spent the rest of the day lounging in the sun and shopping at the markets for souvenirs.
On our final morning before heading home, Megan and I took some extra time to shoot additional content—flat lays, scenic shots, and other fun ideas for our social team. It was the perfect way to capture the last bits of Isla Holbox before we left. We had such an amazing time exploring the island over the past few days, and it felt like the perfect way to wrap up our first overseas campaign trip. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
