Joshua Tree

35mm on my Canon EOS-1

Joshua Tree has become one of my favorite desert escapes. Over the years, my girlfriends and I have spent countless weekends tucked away in cozy Airbnbs and even camping under the stars. Every trip brings something new—whether it’s discovering unique restaurants, hiking through the national park, unwinding with a sound bath meditation, or browsing the local shops. It’s the perfect place to reset, recharge, and share meaningful time together beneath the yucca trees and desert stars. Below, I’ve rounded up some of our favorite spots along with photos from past trips!

Rockbound Oasis

The gallery below is from a 2022 photoshoot I did with LSPACE, and it’s still one of my favorites to look back on. These behind-the-scenes moments were captured on my little Canon Sure Shot point & shoot, giving everything that candid, film-like vibe. We spent the day shooting a mix of activewear and swimwear throughout the property, which couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop. This desert house has so much character—wide open spaces, unique design details, and the dreamiest 360° views of the surrounding landscape.

Desert Interiors

If you’ve ever been to Joshua Tree, you know the interiors are just as special as the desert itself. Every house has its own personality—no two ever feel the same. From vintage, bohemian touches to sleek modern designs, each stay feels like stepping into a whole new world of creativity. I love capturing little details of the décor and aesthetic, and I’ve saved so many photos over the years as inspiration for my own home one day.

Camping in Joshua Tree

In the past, I’ve loved using apps like HipCamp or Tentrr to find one-of-a-kind campsites tucked away on people’s properties. There’s something so magical about setting up camp in the desert, surrounded by yucca trees, where mornings begin with golden sunrises and nights end stargazing with our margaritas and tunes. Below are photos from a vacation for another trip around the sun.

Below are little collections of trips to Joshua Tree, each one tied to different moments in life worth celebrating.
