Bali
Bali is one of my most favorite places I’ve traveled to. I’ve been twice, including a three-week solo trip post-college (2019) that became one of the best experiences before starting my career/life. This blog is a guide to the towns, food, and moments that made the island so special to me.
ULUWATU (cute surfer town!)
Bingin beach
There’s a little homestay called the Bingin Inn, if you have a scooter ride over there for lunch, they have the best best BEST Nasi Goreng (I stayed here solo)
Hatch bar
Single Fin (Wed + Sundays are party nights)
District 6 for lunch/din
Cashew Tree (says in my notes Thursday nights they do live music)
Sunset Point in Ulu – great spot for it
Padang Padang beach (watch for monkeys)
Nyang Nyang Cliff & beach (super lowkey beach, scenic)
Green bowl beach (lots of stairs/monkeys)
Ulu cliffhouse – bar
Rent a scooter to get around, the driving is more chill here than other cities on bali
They have lots of cute airbnbs here too if you feel like balling out on a place 😉
CANGGU (great for meeting people, solo travels)
The lawn – go Fridays
Pretty poison – entertaining, crazy indo men skating in empty pool
La brisa – cute little beach bar
KOI – sushi restaurant
Deus es Machina – they use to do free tatoos /taco nights on Tuesday
Moanas – poke restaurant
Luigis – pizza place
Nalu bowls – best acai
The practice – yoga studio
They set up a shopping market once a week right by Luigis, I think on Sundays..?
Avacado Factory
UBUD (quiet town jungle vibes, lots of yoga/meditating/bugs lol)
Yoga studios everywhere and their so cute and artsy
If you’re feeling up to a hike, Mt Batur Sunrise hike (view of the volcano on Bali) you must wake up at like 3 am for it but it’s well worth the exhaustion
Clear café
Nungnung waterfalls
Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan
Mushroom beach
Blue Lagoon (has an amazing restaurant at the view point) one of my favorites
Devils teirs
